How We Calculate

Simple, Transparent Maths

No hidden assumptions — here is exactly how your estimate is worked out.

1. Your Usage

Monthly bill ÷ cost per unit = units you use each month.

2. System Size

In Bihar, 1 kW of panels makes about 4 units a day — roughly 120 units a month.

3. Roof Area

Each kW needs about 100 sq ft of shadow-free roof space.

4. Savings

Units generated × your cost per unit = money saved every month.

FAQ

Savings & Subsidy Questions

How much can I really save with solar?
A correctly sized on-grid system can cut your electricity bill by 70–80%. Every unit your panels produce is a unit you don't buy from the grid, and extra units are credited through net metering.
How much roof space do I need?
Roughly 100 sq ft of shadow-free roof per kW. A 3 kW home system needs about 300 sq ft. Our free site survey checks your roof, shadows and structure before we quote.
Does solar work in winter or on cloudy days?
Yes. Generation drops on heavily overcast days, but panels still produce power from daylight. Over a full year, Bihar gets excellent sunshine — about 4 units per kW per day on average.
